Credit tranfer

At Central Global University, we recognize that students may begin their academic journey at one institution and wish to continue it with us. To support student mobility and academic progression, we offer a structured and transparent credit transfer process.

Who Can Apply for Credit Transfer?

  • Students who have completed coursework at regionally accredited colleges, universities, or recognized international institutions
  • Students seeking to transfer credits from diploma, certificate, or professional development programs (subject to evaluation)
  • Students from partner institutions with formal articulation agreements with Central Global University

General Transfer Credit Guidelines

  • A maximum of 50% of total program credits may be transferred (specific programs may vary)
  • Only courses with a grade of C (or equivalent) or higher are eligible for transfer
  • Credits must have been earned within the last 5 to 7 years (depending on the program)
  • Transferred credits apply toward program requirements or electives, subject to department approval
  • Credit transfer is subject to course equivalency evaluation
  • Professional certifications, military training, and experiential learning may be considered for credit under specific guidelines

Required Documents

To process a credit transfer application, students must submit:

  • Official academic transcripts from all previously attended institutions

  • Transfer Credit Application Form (available at the Registrar’s Office or student portal)
  • Supporting documents for certifications, diplomas, or professional training if applicable

Evaluation Process

  • The Office of the Registrar, in consultation with relevant academic departments, will review submitted courses for content, level, and credit equivalency
  • Applicants will be notified of the outcome via email or student portal notification
  • Approved credits will be reflected in the student’s academic record upon enrollment

Important Notes

  • Transfer credits are not included in the calculation of the student’s cumulative GPA at Central Global University

  • Final decisions on credit acceptance rest with the Registrar and Academic Affairs Committee
  • Students may appeal transfer decisions through the Academic Appeals Process
